Cynthia Negrete of TESSA writes the following of the partnership with Wheels of a Dream:
“The Youth and Children’s Program at TESSA benefits greatly from the partnership with Wheels of a Dream. The wooden toys handcrafted by Wheels of a Dream offer the children served at TESSA something to call their own. The Wheels of a Dream provides several toy options which allows the children to pick something aligned with their interest and personalities. We hope to continue this partnership for years to come!”
Jessica Wasko of Penrose St. Francis writes the following of the partnership with Wheels of a Dream:
“At St. Francis Medical Center, we give WOD toys to the children on our pediatric unit. The toys always bring a smile to the children’s faces and parents are blown away that someone would take the time to hand make these and then donate them. WOD also built us a doll sized CT scanner and MRI scanner, these have allowed our pediatric patients to use play to act out their upcoming scan. It helps them gain mastery and understanding of what’s to come, which makes them less scared! Thank you, thank you, WOD!”
Sam Rush-Walton of Ronald McDonald House Charities writes the following of the partnership with Wheels of a Dream:
“Wheels of a Dream is just that. A set of wheels, lovingly made by local artisans who use their desire and their abilities to design, cut, carve, sand and wood-burn original toys that bring smiles to children’s faces – helping to make their day just a bit brighter. The children served by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado have been thrilled to learn they get to pick out their favorite Wheels of a Dream toy that they can then have as their very own. Hearkening back to simpler times, these wooden toys help to bring normalcy and joy to the critically ill children we serve. We are delighted to be the beneficiary of such dedication and care by this team of craftsmen.”
